Workshops

Feed your soil - feed your family

(Past event) The Fall City Learning Garden and P-Patch managers presented our inaugural workshop, Sunday, September 29, 2:00 at the Fall City Masonic Lodge.

Handouts from this workshop are available at Composting and Cover Crops workshop handouts.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to build a compost pile using free or low-cost local materials
  • How and why to plant winter cover crop to improve your soil structure and hold nutrients over winter

Fall City Learning Garden and P-Patch workshops offer local residents education on topics ranging from nutrition and health, soil ecology, vegetable growing, and food security.

Support the Fall City Learning Garden and P-Patch and help us break ground! This is a hands-on workshop. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for garden work. Free, but donations welcome Sunday Sept 29, 2–4pm, at the Fall City Masonic Hall's garden site: 4304 337th Pl. SE Fall City, WA 98024
